Reserve your pig share for Winter 2024

A whole or half pig share is a wonderful way to stock your freezer with the highest quality, pasture-raised pork for the year. You'll take home somewhere between 100lbs (1/2 share) - 200lbs (whole share) of premium pork, depending on the weight of the pig, and your selection of cuts and oddments. 

Our pasture raised Heritage Breed Red Wattle pork has exceptional flavoring and quality.

We raise our pigs to approx 300lbs before taking them to the butchers for you, send you a cut sheet to customize, keep in contact with the butcher and will let you know when your meat is ready for pick up or delivery.

Whole (based on our carcass weight price of $6.50/lb):

-Approx 200lbs of packaged meat.

-Approx $1400 which includes basic processing costs.  Curing and specialty sausage are additional fees.

  • Curing Hams/Bellies are $20 for each additional piece.  (Example if you order 1/2 hog and have it's rear leg cured and belly cured, there will be a $40 surcharge.) 
  • Specialty sausage Chorizo or Italian, costs $2/lb.  (Example:  if you request 8 lbs of Italian sausage from your grind, you will be charge a $16 dollar surcharge)

Half (based on our carcass weight price of $7.00/lb):

-Approx 100lbs of packaged meat.

-Approx $750 which includes basic processing costs. 

Curing and specialty sausage are additional fees.

  • Curing Hams/Bellies are $20 for each additional piece.  (Example if you order a whole hog and have both it's rear legs cured and both bellies cured, there will be a $80 surcharge.) 
  • Specialty sausage Chorizo or Italian, costs $2/lb.  (Example:  if you request 8 lbs of Italian saugage from your grind, you will be charge a $16 dolar surcharge)

We require a $300 deposit to hold a whole or $150 deposit for a half. Deposits are included in the total price and are non-refundable!

 What is the volume of a pig share?

If you want all the oddments (bones, head, trotters, fat, etc.) along with the classic cuts, you’ll want to have about 7 cubic feet of freezer space for a whole hog. 1 cubic foot is about the size of a milkcrate. If you don’t plan to take the oddments, you’ll need around 6 cubic feet of freezer space.


When do I get it? 

Our pigs will be slaughtered and butchered in November-December 2024, and you'll get your meat in mid-late December. We'll be in touch with you to schedule specific pickup dates at Rafter M Meats in Wilcox, AZ.  Alernatively you can have your meat delivered to Tucson or Sierra Vista for a $15 surcharge.  Rafter M makes a delivery trip to each location every 2 weeks.  Location and pickup date will be coordinated.  

More Information

All cuts of meat are labeled and vacuum sealed in clear plastic wrap. All meat will be frozen when you pick it up or it's delivered.

Payment in full is due after we deliver your hog to the processor and attain the hanging weight.  You will be sent an invoice.  Once payment has been received, the processor will be advised the meat can be released for pickup and they will contact you to schedule a pickup date.  Orders must be picked up within 2 weeks of the date it’s ready.
